Local sponsorship

In 2024, organisations in Södertälje municipality can apply for short term sponsorship for initiatives that contribute to more meaningful leisure time for the residents of the municipality.

Who can apply?

Organisations/associations in Södertälje municipality that are not currently sponsored by Scania or by other Scania-owned subsidiaries can apply for a short term award up to 20 000 SEK. It is not possible for an individual to apply.

The initiatives and activities should strengthen and contribute to a more meaningful leisure time for the residents of Södertälje municipality, with a focus on children and young people.

Permissible areas of support are education, science and research, culture, charitable causes, sustainability, the heavy truck industry and sports. Please note that even in areas eligible for support sponsoring measures are not admissible if they pertain categories stated in the Scania Group Policy 5 Handling Donations and Sponsoring Measures.

The application should be permitted by the organisation and the person submitting the application should not be a Scania employee. Any potential conflicts of interest, such as family and personal relationships and personal financial interests, must be described according to Scania Group Policy 46 Conflict of Interest. Please also note that Scania employees with involvement in the organisation applying for sponsorship may not be involved in the decision-making process, either from the organisation's side or from Scania's side.

Application period

The application period is open until 19 October 2024.

Applications submitted before 19 May 2024 will be evaluated and answered by us no later than 14 July 2024.

Applications submitted between 20 May 2024 and 19 October 2024 will be evaluated and answered by us no later than 18 December 2024.
